Conclusion...

A total of 515 litres of fuel were used on a trip of 2820 nM in 44 hrs of flying. This results in a mere average flying speed of 65 knots and a fuel consumption of approx 12 litres per hour or 22 MpG. The distances reported in this logbook are the point-to-point distances between the waypoints. We probably travelled more as we stayed right on the coastline for most of the trip - resulting in a greater total distance and average speed as well as an even better fuel economy.
